Give Me The Cure (cold care formula)
No, this tea will NOT cure your cold but it will help you feel better when you're experiencing the symptoms of cold or flu. Formulated with Rosehips, Calendula, Yarrow, Anise Hyssop, Chamomile, Peppermint and Ginger.
Rosehips are an excellent source of vitamin C which helps the body defend itself against illness while strengthening immunity. The high vitamin C can help lessen the severity of a cold and reduce its duration. Rosehips can also help relieve pain since they contain anthocyanins which are anti inflammatory.
Anise Hyssop helps relieve congestion, helps clear mucus from lungs and airways and has diaphoretic properties which helps induce perspiration and treat fever. Anise Hyssop is a warming herb which is an ideal choice for someone experiencing shivering with a slight fever.
Yarrow is an antiviral herb that helps to dry up and move mucus out of the system. It also helps reduce swelling in the nasal passages and throat.
Calendula helps support the lymphatic system by reducing congestion in the lymph and removing toxins. Calendula has antimicrobial properties that help the body fight off bacteria and viruses.
Chamomile has been used for centuries to ease cold symptoms and it may help fight infections too. With its antispasmodic properties, chamomile helps relax muscles especially when you're feeling achy. It contains flavonoids with soothing properties that can help decrease inflammation and reduce sore throat pain.
Peppermint has menthol which is not only a helpful decongestant ( thins mucus, loosens phlegm, and eases coughs) but the cooling effect can make your throat feel better instantly. Peppermint also helps decrease pain and body aches.
Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties to reduce discomfort and swelling everywhere and it helps clear up congestion. Ginger is also helpful for reducing nausea and vomiting.
