Meadow
A gentle brew that helps ease inflammation, reduce mild to moderate pain, aid digestion, and lessen heartburn symptoms.
Made with Meadowsweet, Peppermint, and Lavender buds.
Meadowsweet is a wonderful herb to aid digestion. It soothes and protects the mucous membranes of the digestive tract and stomach lining and may help to reduce acidity. It has been used in the treatment of peptic ulcers and heartburn, joint pain, wintertime cold, and inflammation. Meadowsweet contains plant compounds known as rugosins — and flavonoids and small amounts of salicylic acid which may work like antioxidants in the body and are shown to have anti inflammatory effects.
Peppermint is another digestive herb that also has some pain relieving qualities. Peppermint settles many digestive upsets, like bloating, gas, and indigestion through its warming diffusive action. It can act as a muscle relaxant and pain reliever, and has been used to help reduce certain types of headaches. Peppermint has antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties and may help relieve sinus congestion, sore throats, and cough. It can lessen menstrual cramps, (since it has muscle relaxing properties) it can boost energy, and improve concentration.
Lavender is generally associated as a sedative to ease feelings of stress and anxiety but it is also carminative and anti-inflammatory. It can be very helpful in cases of intestinal gas, irritable bowel syndrome, and nausea. It too can offer some pain relief particularly for certain types of headaches.
