UNDER PRESSURE TEA
An Herbal Tea made with all Organic Lemon Balm, Passionflower, Chamomile, Lavender, and Kava Kava Root.
This is a calming blend to help support the nervous system during times of stress and unease.
Lemon Balm's mild sedative properties have historically been used for insomnia, anxiety, stress induced headaches, heart palpitations and high blood pressure. It is one of nature's best nerving herbs. Similar to other plants in the mint family, such as rosemary and clary sage, lemon balm helps to restore those who are overwrought and exhausted.
Passionflower is an excellent herb for the nervous system, insomnia, anxiety, anxietous depression, hypersensitivity to pain, headaches, agitation, and overstimulation. It is a nervine tonic in preventing outbreaks of the herpes simplex virus, stress-induced hypertension, and menstrual cramps. Passionflower can ease 'circular thinking' particularly during insomnia. Passionflower is especially suited for folks who have a hard time letting things go, mulling them over incessantly in a repetitive manner.
Chamomile- Researchers have taken an interest in chamomile for stress relief and have conducted several human clinical trials to evaluate its ability to address both depression and anxiety. They have found that chamomile, even at a relatively small dose (220 mg), was more effective than placebo in relieving both depression and anxiety.
Lavender has antidepressant and sedative properties. Studies have shown that lavender can affect sleep patterns, and it may be useful as a mild sedative for those who have trouble sleeping. Lavender tea is also high in vitamin C, which is important for our immune systems.
Kava Kava root has a calming and relaxing effect on the body and is supportive during periods of occasional stress. It is a very potent herb for tension relief and supports natural relaxation.
